    The Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Gonçalo de Almeida Ribeiro, participated in the World Law Congress 2025, which took place in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, between 4 and 6 May, with a presentation titled Independence of the judiciary, code of ethics and enforcing constitutional values. The congress, which was attended by judges, politicians, lawyers, academics, journalists, activists and students, among others, was organized by the World Jurist Association, an NGO with consultative status at the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC).

    At the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia, Justice Afonso Patrão participated, in representation of the Constitutional Court, in an international conference that took place in Riga on 24th and 25th April on “The role of constitutional courts in ensuring the resilience of common European values in face of contemporary challenges”.
    The conference was organized within the scope of the project "Support to development of the constitutional justice in Ukraine", implemented under the Joint Programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Partnership for Good Governance".
